Hello everyone, my self Krens Patel I also landed as an immigrant in Canada with no knowledge on how everything works and had no one to support me on my initial stage except long-distance friends But I just blindfolded my eyes and just jumped in it with a confidence of “જે હસી એ ફોડી લાઈ સુ “. Now, after five years of hard work and facing many difficulties, I've secured my Permanent Residency in Canada, and I am sharing my immigration journey with you.

My journey began in India after high school. At first, I didn't have any plans to go abroad, but then I started thinking about my future. My dad suggested I pursue further studies overseas and. That's when I decided: Canada was the place for me. I wanted to chase my childhood dreams of independence and financial stability. And so, my adventure began.Top of Form

“I owe everything I have in Canada to my Mom and dad. So, I'm deeply grateful to both my mom and dad for everything I've achieved here.”

As I began my journey, I faced many tough challenges. I had to score well on the IELTS exam, find a good college, get a job, and figure out how to settle down in Canada.

Leaving India was incredibly hard for me. It meant saying goodbye to my homeland and leaving behind my entire family. As it was not just moving to a new city or state it was moving to a whole new country where nobody knew me and Flying 12,000 kilometers away from home.

When I arrived in Canada, everything felt new and unfamiliar to me. Adapting to a different culture and community was a challenge at first. However, as I spent more time there, I made many friends, and some of them became like family to me. As I progressed through college, I also obtained my work permit. Balancing my studies with part-time jobs at places like Subway, Walmart, and a hotel was tough, but I managed to handle both responsibilities simultaneously.

After two years, I received my work permit and began working from home as a technical support associate. However, I later learned that this type of job doesn't count towards permanent residency (PR). With the help of a friend's recommendation, I landed a job at Bell Canada as a Field Service Technician. Since this job counts towards skill trade, after completing my 1-year experience I was eligible to apply for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) through it. When my PNP application was approved, I gained an extra 600 points for my Express Entry profile, significantly strengthening my chances of obtaining permanent residency.

Finally, during a trip to the US, on my way back to Canada, I received an email that completely took me by surprise. It said, "Congratulations, you are now a Permanent Resident." I was so stunned by the news that the first thing I did was call my mom and dad Their joy and happiness upon hearing the news warmed my heart and sharing that moment with them made it even more specialTop of Form

After two years of studying and another two years of working in Canada, all the while facing various challenges, I finally achieved my ultimate goal—I obtained my permanent residency. It was a feeling I couldn't quite put into words, and I found myself at a loss for how to share this incredible milestone with others.

And this was my immigrant story from where I started and how I landed my PR. And thanks, CANINDIAN for letting me share my story and inspire others on their journey.

Thanks,

Krens Patel
