Pritha Solaiapp got 3 rejection but never gave up on dream of coming to canada
Hey there,
I'm Pritha Solaiapp, and I want to share my story of how my family and I embarked on a journey to Canada, We chose to explore Canada as we aimed to start afresh and elevate our lives to the next level. We opted for the student pathway, which would help me restart my career that I had put on hold after my son was born, Having a reset button can make life more interesting and allow us to enhance our skills. With an IT background, I decided on Project Management Information Technology. We applied for a combined file (myself and my son for study permits, and my husband for SOWP) in June 2022, but our application was rejected with a general note stating concerns about our return to India.
To understand the rejection reasons better, we requested GCMS notes and discovered that IRCC mentioned my existing Project Management knowledge from work experience. We then rewrote our Statement of Purpose (SOP) and reapplied in August 2022 but faced another rejection with the same reason. Despite wanting to stick with the same course, we persisted and applied again, experiencing a third rejection. We decided to defer the course to January 2023. Seeking assistance from an independent agent in Canada, we followed her advice to change the course and apply individually instead of combined.
After changing the course, we applied for the Fall September 2023 intake. On April 14th, 2023, we received a request for Passport Request (PPR) and promptly applied for my husband and child. Finally, we succeeded, with the GCMS notes proving helpful, highlighting IRCC's expectations for changes.
We arrived at Canada on July 25th. We stayed with our family friends in Brampton and Barrie until we secured an accommodation in North Bay. Our journey was challenging, but we maintained a level of patience that led to success. Adjusting to life in North Bay presented its own challenges, but we were fortunate to find suitable housing and purchased a car through Facebook Marketplace.
Despite missing the family, food, and familiarity of our home country, we are adapting well and learning to navigate these challenges. We are focused on the future and remain optimistic that our efforts will yield the intended outcomes.
And I thank CANINDIAN for giving me a platform for sharing my Canadian immigration journey full of setbacks but at a same time Interesting aswell which will inspire others to not give up even after 3 rejection there is a hope.
Cheers,
Pritha Solaiapp
